The Basics

How does the membership work?

It's pretty simple, really. You pay an annual membership fee and in return you get a set number of holiday weeks each year, depending on which membership tier you choose. When you're ready to book, you log in to the member portal, pick your dates, and we sort out the rest — including delivering the vehicle to you (free within 100km of Melbourne).

What membership options are available?

We have three tiers across three vehicle types (Motorhome, Campervan, and Caravan):

  • School Holiday Membership (Caravan only): 4 weeks per year with priority access to Victorian school holiday periods. Includes 1 guaranteed summer holiday week plus 3 additional school holiday weeks. Weeks can also be used off-peak, subject to availability. Designed specifically for families with school-aged children.
  • Two Weeks Membership: 2 weeks per year — 1 peak week and 1 off-peak week. A great all-rounder for couples or solo travellers who want a guaranteed peak-period trip each year plus a bonus escape.
  • Off-Peak Membership: 2 off-peak weeks per year. Our most affordable option, ideal for retirees, empty nesters, or anyone who loves travelling when the roads are a little quieter.
Do I actually own the caravan, van or motorhome?

Nope — and that's kind of the whole point! Your membership gives you access to a premium, late-model vehicle for your allocated weeks each year, without any of the headaches that come with owning one. No registration renewals, no maintenance bills, no finding somewhere to store a 7-metre van for 48 weeks of the year. Just show up, hit the road, and enjoy.

What is a peak period?

Peak periods align with Victorian school holidays and public holiday long weekends, and include:

  • Summer school holidays (late December – late January)
  • Easter school holidays
  • Winter school holidays (June/July)
  • Spring school holidays (September/October)
  • Public holiday long weekends, including Australia Day, Labour Day, Easter weekend, King's Birthday, AFL Grand Final weekend, Melbourne Cup weekend, and the Christmas and New Year period
What is an off-peak period?

Any dates that fall outside the designated peak periods above are considered off-peak. Think February, May, August, October, and November — often the most beautiful times to travel in Australia, with fewer crowds and cooler temperatures in many regions.

What does TSE stand for?

TSE is simply the shortened name for Timeshare Escapes. You'll see us use both names throughout our website and member communications.

Bookings & Availability

Are bookings guaranteed?

School Holiday Members receive one guaranteed annual summer holiday week — you can count on it. All other bookings are subject to availability and the booking windows that apply to your membership tier. We manage demand fairly and transparently, so everyone gets a great experience.

Can I choose my summer holiday week?
Absolutely — you can submit your preferred dates when you make your booking request. Where demand is high and multiple members want the same dates, we'll allocate fairly. We'll always do our best to accommodate your first preference.
How far in advance can I book?

Booking windows vary by membership tier and are outlined in your Membership Agreement. Generally speaking, the earlier you book, the better your chances of securing your preferred dates — especially over peak periods.

Can I book additional weeks beyond my allocation?

Yes! Subject to availability, members can purchase extra weeks at the following rates:

  • Family Caravan (School Holiday): $850 per week
  • Couples Caravan: $800 per week
  • Campervan: $1,100 per week
  • Motorhome: $1,400 per week

Can I change or reschedule my booking?

If you need to reschedule, please get in touch as soon as possible. If you cancel more than 14 days before your booking, you can reschedule to a different time subject to availability. Cancellations within 14 days of your scheduled trip may not be eligible for rescheduling — full details are in the Membership Agreement.

Can non-members hire a vehicle?

Yes, where vehicles are available outside of member bookings, we may offer those dates to the general public at standard rental rates. Keep an eye on our website for availability.

Costs & What's Included

Are there any hidden costs?

Absolutely not — we're big believers in transparency. Your membership fee covers your allocated weeks, comprehensive insurance, roadside assistance, bedding and linen, camping chairs and table set, outdoor kitchen kit, and free delivery and collection within 100 km of our Ferntree Gully depot. Any additional charges (such as delivery beyond 100km or extra weeks) are clearly outlined before you commit to anything.

Is delivery included?

We offer free delivery and collection within 100 km of our Ferntree Gully depot. If you're further afield, additional delivery charges apply and will be clearly quoted before you book.

Is insurance included?
Yes. Comprehensive vehicle insurance is included for the duration of your booking.
Is roadside assistance included?

Yes — 24/7 roadside assistance is included for all vehicles.

What if I don't have a vehicle that can tow?

No problem at all — that's one of the reasons our members love us. We deliver the caravan or campervan directly to your campsite or chosen destination, so you never need to tow anything yourself.

The Vehicles

What vehicles are available?
  • Motorhomes — the Snowy River SRM 22.2, a premium self-contained motorhome perfect for couples or solo travellers
  • Vans — compact and easy to drive, ideal for couples or solo adventurers
  • Caravans — the Snowy River SRC-22F, a roomy, well-appointed caravan perfect for couples and families
Are the vehicles new?
We partner with Snowy River Caravans, one of Australia's leading RV manufacturers, to provide late-model, well-maintained vehicles.
Who can drive the vehicle?

All drivers must hold a valid, full Australian driver's licence (or an approved international equivalent), meet our minimum age requirements, and be approved prior to travel.

Can I bring my pet?
We love a good road trip companion! Selected vehicles may be pet-friendly — please check with us before booking.

Membership Details

What happens if I don't use my allocated week?

Life happens — we get it. The specific rules around unused weeks, transfers, and rollovers are outlined in your Membership Agreement. Get in touch with us if your circumstances change and we'll do our best to work something out.

Can I transfer my booking to a friend or family member?
Bookings can only be transferred with prior approval from us and in accordance with the Membership Terms and Conditions.
Can I cancel my membership?

Yes. Your cancellation and refund rights are governed by the Membership Agreement and Australian Consumer Law.

Is my membership renewable?
Absolutely. We'll be in touch before your membership term ends to discuss your renewal options. We'd love to have you back for another year of adventures!
Can I upgrade my membership?
Yes — if you find you want more weeks or a different vehicle type, get in touch and we'll talk through your options.

When you compare the cost of a Timeshare Escapes membership against renting the equivalent vehicle over peak periods, or the true cost of ownership, the value is clear.

Where is Timeshare Escapes based?
We're based in Melbourne, Victoria. Our vehicles are stored in Ferntree Gully and we deliver to members across Melbourne and beyond.
Is Timeshare Escapes available outside Victoria?
Delivery is included within 100km of Melbourne. Members outside this radius are welcome — additional delivery charges will apply.
